Undoubtedly, we all have these old mobile phones that aren’t used anymore. Especially these expensive phones, back then, that we have no courage to throw away because simply it means you’ve lost so much money. Regardless the monetary value, our old mobiles carry so many memories and it went with us through happiness and sorrow, which means they have an intangible value too. It’s not logical to keep old mobiles in the drawer, with no use except being a good place for dust to sleep in. That’s why here in Yaoota, we will give you some ideas about how we can reuse our old devices, as they still have so many benefits that we can make great use of. This will help you reduce the consumption of your new smartphone battery that barely survives for a day. Radio

Radio is sometimes fun, don’t you agree? You will find a collection of songs, news, programs, and even ads. There are many channels that have different specializations and languages as well. As we all know, not all of the channels have online live streaming, or available on the receiver. You can listen to the radio on your old mobile, or download the radio app on the same old mobile and listen to the radio wherever there’s Wi-Fi.  It will always be more convenient than listening to the radio on TV, or laptop.

Your frequently used devices will survive for longer time and your TV can be used for watching movies, or just turn it off.

Security Camera

If your old mobile’s camera has a high resolution, you can use it as a security camera in your house, to keep an eye on your baby, or even your expensive stuff. Just put it in a suitable corner or a place that gives you a good view. You can use any of the available apps on Google play or apple store to help you achieve the required task.

You will save the money you intended to pay to get a security cam, and you will make use of your old device. If you’re not interested to watch the whole house, you can keep an eye on your kid while playing, or even capture the moments of your baby saying his first words.

MP3 Player

A couple of years ago, we were used to listening to music on our mobiles, without using any Wi-Fi or Internet in general. These mobiles used to survive for a day under heavy usage of calls, and listening to songs. Open you old mobile, you will find some old precious songs, get a memory card and add the rest of the new songs you like to listen to. Take it with you wherever you go, so you can listen to your favorite songs and your new smartphone will survive for a longer time. You will listen to your songs without interruption of any incoming calls.

You will save the money you intended to pay to get an iPod or MP3 and you can keep your smartphone for the important things that require advanced technology.

E-reader

If your old mobile had a large screen, you have to make use of that treasure.  You can use it to read an e-book, word document, or PDF file. It would be relaxing to read something, away from the Facebook and e-mail buzzes. It will be just you and your book, isn’t it relaxing?

Quiet atmosphere to read, with no interruptions, you can take notes, and most of all you can travel to another planet of silence and relaxation for a while with your book.

Alarm

Okay, it’s for granted that you set your alarm on a daily basis, whether to wake up in the morning so you won’t be late for work, or in the evening so you won’t be late for your outing. Use your old mobile as an alarm and use your new smartphone only for the important reminders, and let it survive for a longer time.

You don’t have to recharge your old mobile, except twice or three times a week since you will use it as an alarm only. You will also save your new smartphone from receiving any punches, as a way of stopping the annoying alarm so you can continue your deep sleep.

Photo Frame

You can use it to display your old priceless photos or any landscape pictures, by putting it on your desk or anywhere in the house. If you’re a big fan of Instagram, you can use it to display the updated posts of your friends, and liked pages.

You will have your favorite pictures displayed continuously without having to switch between different apps.

Social Media

If you’re a chat maniac, you keep checking Facebook and Instagram every couple of minutes, or you like posting new tweets whenever you face a situation, then your old mobile will save your life. You will save the battery of your new mobile to the more important tasks. You can also measure how long you spend on social media.

You can measure the time you spend on social media and know that you need to balance between your life and social media. You can also notice that there are an infinite number of things you can do instead of scrolling through Facebook and Instagram for hours.

Digital watch

You can set the clock and put the mobile wherever you want in the house, on your desk, or at work so you can see the time. You can put it in the kitchen, so you can create your favorite recipes without having to worry about being late. It will be a nice part of the decoration too.

You can add a nice screen saver, so you can see the time and a nice view or a memorable family picture. It will be a nice and trendy.

Video and film player

Don’t you need some time to watch some funny video? Maybe a romantic comedy movie? You can use your old mobile as a movie player. All you need is to recharge your old mobile, a Wi-Fi, and open YouTube to enjoy the infinite number of hilarious videos. You will enjoy your video away from all the Facebook and WhatsApp notifications.

Without interruption, you will be able to enjoy your movie more. You can even take an online course; it will be fun, beneficial, and interesting. Only half an hour of your day.

Entertainment and Games

You can use it only for gaming. Add an external memory card to save all your beloved games, which can work on this device, even though they might be very simple traditional games, yet they will be a nice addition. You can play these games, without having to worry about the battery of your mobile. Less interruption can make any game much more interesting.

If you’re not into gaming, you can recharge the mobile, add some games, and give it to a family member, a friend, or even your younger sibling, this will definitely make them happy which will make you happy as well.

If you’re not into any of the mentioned ideas, you can come up with your own ones. You can use it as a car alarm, to surf the Internet, or to check your email. You can use it as a remote control, if it has the technology needed. If you don’t like all of this, and you couldn’t come up with any ideas, you have two options; you can sell it, or give it to someone. If you want to sell it, you can do that online just like buying online, and that’s the beauty of online shopping.
