Call of Duty and Battlefield were both huge hits in the gaming world. They are both warfare games that have similar gaming features, yet some gamers prefer one over the other. At Yaoota we know that it’s almost impossible to say something is necessarily better than the other, that’s why we are always keen to provide our readers with as much information as possible. We know our readers have different taste in gaming, so we will leave the decision to them.

Battlefield and Call of Duty are two video games that were able to gain a great number of fans, they are relatively similar yet some gamers prefer one over the other. Here we give some information about each game to help decide which one to pick?

Battlefield

The Swedish company EA Digital Illusions CE introduced the first version of Battlefield in 2002 under the name ‘Battlefield 1942’ and due to the game’s success the company introduced a sequel in 2003. After the huge turnout for the game, the company decided to introduce a new version called ‘Battlefield Vietnam’ initially these video games were made for Windows and Mac, but in 2005 the first version for Playstation was introduced under the name ‘Battlefield 2: Modern Combat’ and it was considered highly upgraded according to the year it was released in, regarding its graphics.

Another version of the game was also made for Xbox. In 2008, a new version of the game ‘Battlefield Bad Company’ was introduced for Xbox and Playstation. For the great success of the game, a different version of it was released one after the other.

However, its greatest hit was the 2013 version Battlefield 4 and the latest release Battlefield in the year 2016. The game had succeeded particularly in the Middle-East, because the game’s theme is based on the Arab spring and the appearance of the character from Lawrence of Arabia.

Call Of Duty

Call of Duty’s storyline revolves around the same previous warfare theme, the events of WWII, while the fourth season’s storyline revolves around futuristic events.

From 2003 to 2016, different versions from the game were released yearly, in particular in October or November of each year. Each season is more upgraded than the other in terms of graphics and animation. The creators of the game has got really creative in game developing, in terms of making the game as real as possible by adding a shaky camera feature when a grenade explodes and other features that has been added to the game.

Which game to pick?

If we examined the opinion of users of this game we won’t be able to reach a fixed answer. As each user picks and chooses the game he/she prefers. In our review we try to be unbiased as much as we can, so we will do a little comparison between both games.

Battlefield is a better game in terms of the story mode, the best regarding the level of Multiplayer mode and in playing online with other gamers from around the world.  

Call of Duty developers added a lot of new improvements in the new versions, but Battlefield enthusiasts think that the game developers have developed the multiplayer criteria better than any other game.

Our last advice is that each gamer or video games enthusiasts is different from the other and his/her choices might differ, so it’s advised to try out the Demo of each game first in order to make the right choice.

The future of both games

Call of Duty fans are waiting for awaited news next November, especially on November 3rd, which marks the release date of the game Call of Duty WWII, which is based on the events of WWII. This release comes after the release of Call of Duty with storylines including robots and aliens, which wasn’t that much liked by fans.   

However, Battlefield fans have to wait till 2018 to be able to try out the latest release of the game, and till now there isn’t enough information about it.
