  • All three phones have attractive designs with a beautiful glass design and aluminum sides for Samsung and Huawei. The iPhone X, however, has stainless steel sides which is considered the strongest one out of all three. All three phones are water-resistant, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 outperforms the other two in this aspect. As for the fingerprint scanner, you can find it in the back of Samsung and Huawei phones, however it’s easier to reach in the Huawei phone because it lies below the dual cameras as opposed to Samsung, where it lies beside the camera, making it harder to reach. iPhone X on the other hand supports the face scanner feature but no finger print scanner feature.

  • iPhone X comes with a hexa-core processor with 3GB RAM and an internal memory of 64 or 256 GB, however it does not support an external memory card nor Dual SIM cards.

It was hard to evaluate all three smartphones because each one outperforms the others in certain aspects.

As for the sound, iPhone X takes the lead due to having 2 powerful speakers with a  clear and strong sound, followed by Huawei 10 Pro, which comes with two front speakers, and Note 8 comes last. It comes with one speaker with the lowest quality sound among all three phones.

You’ll notice that Note 8 outperforms the other two in that it supports a 3.5mm separate earphones port, which is not available in the other two phones.

The bluetooth version (5.0) is the fastest and most recent in Note 8 and iPhone X, while the bluetooth version in Huawei 10 Pro is a bit old (4.2).

As for general performance, the three phones did an excellent job in dealing with applications, programs and games. The user will easily notice how speedy they are however with prolonged use, Huawei 10 Pro will maintain this speed because its processor is supported by artificial intelligence.

  • Note 8 comes with a double rear camera with 12 MP; the first with F1.7 and the second with F2.4 lens aperture, equipped with OIS and LED flash.
  • Huawei Pro 10 comes with a dual back camera with 12 MP for one camera with F1.6 lens aperture and 20 MP  for the second camera with F1.6 lens aperture and LED flash.

However, each phone outperforms the others in a certain aspect:
  • In low and night light, Huawei comes first due to the F1.6 lens aperture.
  • In portrait mode, you’ll notice the Huawei and iPhone do better than Note 8 because this feature is not available in Note 8. This feature is present in both back and front cameras of Huawei and iPhone.
  • 2x Optical Zoom is available in Note 8 and iPhone C which is better than the 2x Lossless Zoom feature available in Huawei 10 Pro.
  • As for video mode, things are different as you’ll notice that iPhone X outperforms the other 2 with 4K resolution with up to 60 frames per second. It can also shoot in slow motion with 240 frames per second.

iPhone 10 has a better video quality.

As for the front camera, all three of them are great, however Note 8 is better than Huawei and iPhone X because through it you can take selfies with a wide angle, while the Huawei and iPhone outdo it in portrait mode which doesn’t exists in Note 8.

  • While the numbers show that Huawei comes first, followed by Note 8 and iPhone X, with regular use, you’ll notice that Huawei and iPhone are the best with similar performance while the Note 8 has the shortest battery life, only lasting 5 hours in Screen On mode.
