Mechanism Of Action Of Dapagliflozin

• Dapagliflozin works by inhibiting the sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT-2) found in the proximal tubules in the kidneys. Through SGLT2 inhibition, dapagliflozin reduces renal reabsorption of glucose and increases urinary excretion of glucose.

• It is used in adult patients (aged 18 years and older). Dapagliflozin is used for the type of diabetes called type 2 diabetes where your body does not make enough insulin or is not able to use the insulin it produces properly. This leads to a high level of sugar in your blood.

Method Of Administration Of Divinus 5 Mg Tablets

• Swallow the tablet whole with half a glass of water
• You can take your tablet with or without food

Normal Ranges

• Random blood sugar test: A blood sample will be taken at a random time. Regardless of when you last ate, a blood sugar level of 200 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) or higher suggests diabetes. A blood sugar level less than 140 mg/dL is normal. A reading between 140 and 199 mg/dL indicates prediabetes
