  • Azithromycin belongs to the class of drugs known as macrolide antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth.

Therapeutic Indications Of Zimax Suspension

  • It is used to treat infections caused by certain bacteria and other microorganisms, which include:
  1. Chest, throat, or nasal infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sore throat (pharyngitis), and sinusitis)
  2. Ear infections
  3. Skin and soft tissue infections (such as an abscess or boil)
  4. Sexually transmitted diseases are caused by organisms called Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhea

Method Of Administration Of Zimax Suspension

  • Always take or give this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The pharmacist should have advised you whether to measure the medicine using the multi-dosing spoon or the oral dosing syringe
  • Azithromycin suspension is generally used for children under 7 years (45 kg). It may also be used in adults and older children who have difficulty swallowing capsules.
