Yes so these / this is probably all that comes packed within the HTC Desire 12+. Below is an in depth analysis of it.
Design and build
First this first, this is an eye catching smartphone. A beauty, for lack of a better word. I love the design that goes with it, from its curved edges and rounded corners to its glossy and shiny back panel. It on of those phones you never get tired looking at, regardless of the period of time you have owned it. I would classify it with the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge when it comes to looks. Anyway, on the top right corner of the back of this phone is the dual camera and LED flash, the camera(s) is horizontally placed. I also love the placement of the rear mounted fingerprint scanner. It is very easy to reach with whichever finger. Below it is HTC branding. The front part of this phone on the other hand has slim top and bottom bezels which even further give an illusion of a display taller than the 6.0 inch on it comes with. A move in the futuristic direction if you ask me. The bottom one is kept clean while the top bezel has a centralized call speaker, sensors and the selfie camera which we will talk about in a few. The side bezels stretch almost to the very edge of this phone, also increasing the display estate here. Generally, it is a smartphone with great looks going with it.
Display and camera
Display
I have talked about the hardware display of the Desire 12+ already, a 6.0 inch display panel that covers 93% of the front of it and has a 76.7% screen to body ratio. It has a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels (268 ppi pixel density which on paper seems rather low. Again, just on paper because this isn’t even close to what you get up close). Yes and maybe also to mention is that it has an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Camera
People have grown to love cameras on smart phones lately. Here we get three cameras. The first two are the primary camera with the main being a 13MP shooter while the other a 2MP shooter. They have phase detection auto focus and an LED flash. Some of the features available here include geo tagging, touch focus, HDR and panorama. The selfie camera is an impressive 8MP shooter and this smartphone has 1080@30fps video recording capability. Both cameras are impressive and great at what they do, no complains on this.
Performance and memory
It comes running on the latest Android Oreo 8.0 OS, latest as at time of this review. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset and an Octa core 1.8 GHz Cortex A53 CPU power this smartphone while an Adreno 508 GPU handles graphical tasks.
Internal memory is 32 GB and can be expanded up to 400GB using and SD card on the SIM 2 slot. These are waaay above average platform performance. Your Desire 12+ will perform tasks just fine, that you can most definitely trust.
Battery
Its 2965 mAh battery should hold up for the whole day until next charge. You get up to 522 hours on standby and 26 hours of talk time with it.
This is a midrange smartphone I confidently recommend to people looking to acquire a new smartphone. Choose a black, silver or gold HTC Desire 12+ at www.phoneplacekenya.com.
