Tetracycline is a class of antibiotics that belongs to the tetracycline family. Dosage and method of use:

• Dosage for pelvic inflammatory disease: One tablet is taken 4 times daily for 10 days.
• Dosage for syphilis: One 500 mg tablet is taken 4 times daily for 15 days.
• For the treatment of chlamydia: a 500 mg tablet is taken 4 times a day for a week.
• To treat bacterial infection of the eyes: A little ointment is applied once after childbirth.
