Ancient Egyptian texts shed light on the status of morality and combating crime with different penalties as two essential elements in the essence of the life of the ancient Egyptians, and good morals occupied a large space based on diverse and extended social experiences and customs throughout their history, at a time when religion played a prominent role in organizing their lives within the family and society. The ancient Egyptian’s perceptions of the violation of rights also varied, and he considered it as a violation of moral norms, so he probably derived from the religious “court of the other world”, in which the deceased is tried for his actions in this world, as a model for a civil court to achieve discipline in society. Crime and punishment were linked in ancient Egypt Moral, customary, and religious factors, all of which were based on the concept of "Ma'at", which refers to "truth and justice" in society, almost like a living human conscience that motivates to do good.
