The battery has a four-level LED indicator, so you can tell on sight roughly how much power remains before you attach it to the camera. The BN-S8823 is equivalent to JVC's BN-VF823 battery.

The BN-S8823 also has a 7.2V pole DC output that can be used to power the SWIT S-2010 on-camera LED light and the camera simultaneously. The Acebil I-605DX Prosumer Tripod System includes a 2 stage, lightweight (7.9 lb) aluminum tripod, the Standard 605 Fluid Head, a middle brace, and the S-7 Carry Case.
