The active USB repeater cable amplifies the passing signal and allows you to connect a USB-B device at a significantly greater distance than a passive cable allows. The range of the cable can be further extended, for example, by using the AXAGON ADR-210 USB extension cable. A big advantage of the ADR-215B cable is the integrated auxiliary power connector . In most cases, the USB bus power supply is sufficient, but for devices with higher consumption, the USB power supply may be insufficient at longer USB distances, and an additional mains power supply may solve the problem in these cases.
