It features the HeartTouch, which when switched on gives you access to different training information without the need of pressing buttons. This means if you’ve got on some boxing gloves you need not take them off every time you need to check something. This is possible because your training computer is brought close to your transmitter. The Graphical target zone indicator enables you to maintain your level of intensity by pointing out the zone you are in during a training session. The Polar FT7M also features a ZonePointer as well as a ZoneLock, which are just as handy during a workout.

It is embedded with a user replaceable battery and also has a low battery indicator. The button lock feature on this watch locks all the training computer buttons so accidental presses during training or otherwise do not cause problems. It is water resistant for up to 30m.
