Flexible, film-forming polymers give the mascara its waterproof properties, and ensure lasting colour and volume. Several coats can be applied without clumping or spiking. Shine-enhancing substances impart pure color and glossy lashes, while Vitamins A and E have a nourishing, anti-oxidant action.
