The M26 Pershing was an American medium tank used during World War II and the Korean War. Intended as a replacement of the M4 Sherman, the prolonged time of development meant that only a small number saw combat towards the end of WWII. Armament included one M3 cannon caliber 90mm, two M1919A caliber 7.62mm machine guns and one Browning M2HB caliber 12.7mm machine gun. The front armor was 102mm thick and was slanted to increase its resistance.
