The Andrew James Hinged Digital Halogen Oven is the latest development in halogen oven cooking; the hinged lid design removes all the risk and strain associated with using an oven of this kind, and makes it safe and easy for people of all ages and abilities to use.The 1400 Watt oven boasts a huge variety of cooking functions including roasting, grilling, baking, frying, dehydrating and steaming. The halogen bulb uses infrared technology to quickly heat the air inside the oven, which is then fan-circulated to cook food evenly without the need for additional fats or oils. This results in a healthier meal and preserves the natural nutrients and flavours of foods.The digital control panel is very easy to use; simply select the cooking time and temperature and press start! Alternatively, you can select one of the automatic settings for cooking food such as pizzas, rice, cakes and toast, or use it for defrosting or reheating food. The oven will automatically switch off and a signal will sound after the timer has reached zero. The self-cleaning functions also mean the oven is very easy to clean and maintain.Not only is the Halogen Oven convenient, it will save you time, energy and ultimately money. As it heats up so quickly, there’s no need to preheat meaning overall the oven cooks up to 40% faster than a standard electric oven*. It uses only 0.867 kWh at 200°C which over a year can save you as much as £40 compared to cooking with a standard electric oven.** Included free with this model is a generous range of halogen accessories including: high and low cooking racks, tongs, extender ring (which extends the capacity of your halogen oven from 12 litres to 17 litres), baking and steamer trays, 4 x skewers, a toasting rack, and a rice and cake cooking dish which can also be used in a normal oven. Unlike other models, all Andrew James Halogen ovens come with an easily replaceable bulb (heating element). Although the bulbs have a long lifetime, we also provide a spare bulb and they can be purchased separately too, so you can have years and years of use from your Halogen Oven. Please note that you must let your Halogen Oven stand at room temperature for 1 hour prior to the first use. This allows the bulb to acclimatise before heating and prevents damage to the product.
