·
Unplug by the head
Never
pull your charger/Laptop by the cord to unplug it. Although this may seem to
work fine, over time, the tension will cause irreparable internal damage.
·
Keep it cool
Extreme
temperatures, hot or cold, can damage chargers. It’s best to avoid leaving your
charger on a carpet, especially in a hot environment and when transporting
during winter, insulate it.
·
Keep it dry
Keep
your Laptop charger/battery dry at all times and always keep it away from
water. Avoid charging/using up a device in your Kitchen and Bathroom & be
sure to clean up any spills right away.
·
Use a surge protector
You
never know when an Electrical surge may strike and if powerful enough, it can
damage or destroy Electronic Components of your Laptop. It’s best not to risk
this, especially during storms or in buildings with poorly designed circuits.
·
Keep it tucked away
A
stray charger can turn into a tripwire when you least expect it. Not only can
this cause damage to the charger/battery by tearing the cord or breaking the
plug head, but it can seriously harm you.
