This high-fibre cat food is designed to ease the symptoms of constipation in cats. Made with plenty of dietary fibre, Fibre Response passes easily through the digestive system, removing substances which can cause irritation. The highly digestible proteins and added nutrients ensure your cat is getting what they need even with a shorter digestion process. The formula includes antioxidants to neutralise harmful free radicals, as well as EPA/DHA long chain fatty acids for better digestive health. When to use it
Constipation is one of the most common digestive issues in cats. Outward signs of constipation include lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss and a lack of grooming. Your cat may also show signs of abdominal discomfort, such as striking out if you touch them on the stomach. Some of these symptoms can be signs of urinary disorders too, so it's important to visit your vet for a diagnosis.
If you're worried your cat has constipation, pay close attention to their toilet habits: a healthy cat should pass one stool a day. Symptoms of constipation include crying in pain or straining while using the litter box, or visiting the litter box more frequently and unproductively. If their stools are small, dry and hard (and/or covered with blood or mucous) it's a sign that something is wrong. In these cases it's important to speak to your vet as soon as possible.
Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice.
