* Composition: & & Amoxicillin (as trihydrate) 500 mg + Flucloxacillin (as sodium monohydrate) 500 mg. * Indications: & & – Skin and soft tissue infections: e.g. abscess, carbuncles, furuncles, cellulitis, infected & & wounds, impetigo, folliculitis, boils, mastitis. & & – Postoperative infections and surgical prophylaxis. & & – Bone and joint infections: e.g. septic arthritis, osteomyelitis. & & – Upper and lower respiratory tract infections: e.g. otitis media, otitis externa, sinusitis, pharyngitis, & & tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia. * Dosage && administration: & & – Dose for adults: & & one tablet every 8 hours (every 6 hours in severe infections). & & – Dose for children (8-16 years): & & 1/2 tablet every 8 hours (every 6 hours in severe infections). & & – Use during pregnancy and lactation: & & Floxamo tablets should be used only during pregnancy or lactation if clearly needed and under & & the supervision of the physician. * Precautions: & & Floxamo should be used with caution in the elderly, patients with renal impairment, where a reduced & & dose is required, and those with hepatic impairment. * Contraindications: & & Patients with a previous history of allergy to penicillins or cephalosporins.
