About this product

  • Examide belongs to a group of antihypertensive drugs that inhibit the sodium, potassium and chloride transporters in the loop of the ascending Henle in the kidney.
  • It works on diuresis and excretion of sodium, chloride and water with urine. It also does not change the glomerular filtration rate, renal plasma flow and works on the acid-base balance in the body.

Dosage and method of use:

  • In congestive heart failure, 10 mg once daily.
  • Chronic renal failure: the dose is 20 mg once daily.
  • Cirrhosis: 5 to 10 mg IV daily with antagonists or diuretics, which are potassium-sparing.
  • In the case of basic blood pressure, the dose is 5 mg per day, and its effect appears from 4 to 6 weeks, which is up to 12 weeks, and dizziness does not appear when standing as a result of low blood pressure.

Indications:

  • A diuretic that helps the body get rid of excess water.
  • High blood pressure treatment.
  • Adjunctive treatment in cases of heart failure (C.H.F).
  • Treatment of cases of liver and kidney failure, which are accompanied by water retention inside the body and collecting in the feet and extremities, such as dropsy.
