Amr Ismail is an Egyptian composer. He was born in the city of Cairo, on April 11th, 1971. At the age of 8 years old, he started playing the Organ. When he reached 13 years old, his father gave him a Music synthesizer as a gift, so he started re-arranging a few of his favorite pieces such as the music Depeche Mode, Tangerine dream, Jean Michel Jarre songs and others.In 1987, he began to work as a music producer. He enrolled at Ain Shams University, in Cairo where he studied Ancient civilizations and history. Amr’s first album "Hamassat" was released in 1991. The album was a re-arrangement of many classics, and he successfully collaborated with the pan flute player Khaled Sabri. In 1993, he began working on his very first personal music project. He gave it the title "Rahil". The whole album was fully done by him and was released in 1994. In 1995, the album was followed by another one "Piano Piano", which was a romantic piano music with an Egyptian touch. Amr also composed soundtracks. Soon, he became one of the best soundtrack musicians in Egypt and the Arab world with over 30 movies in his profile. He is considered as a great music composer and soundtrack maker in contemporary Egypt.
