About this product

• CIPROFAR is used as a broad-spectrum antibiotic that kills gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria and prevents their growth and reproduction. It is an effective treatment for prostate infections and gonorrhea. It is also used in the treatment of bone and joint infections, pneumonia and middle ear infections.

Dosage and method of use:

Adult dose:

• The dose is determined by the specialist doctor and according to the type of each infection or infection.
• Dosage ranges from 250 to 750 every 12 hours a day.
• Treatment usually lasts 5 to 21 days, but may take longer for severe infections.
• Swallow the tablets with plenty of fluid. Do not chew the tablets because they are tasteless.
• Try to take the tablets at around the same time each day.
• You can take the tablets at mealtimes or between meals.
• Do not take Ciprofar tablets with dairy products such as milk or yogurt, or with fortified fruit juices (such as calcium fortified orange juice).
• Remember to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine.

Children's dose:

It is used for children and adolescents, under professional medical supervision, to treat the following bacterial infections:

• Lung and bronchial infections in children and adolescents with cystic fibrosis.
• Complicated urinary tract infections, including infections that have reached the kidneys (pyelonephritis).
• Inhalation anthrax.
• Older than 1 year Dose range from 10 to 30 mg/kg every 12 hours; Do not exceed a single dose of 750 mg every 12 hours.
• Warning: It is preferable that the dosage be determined by a specialist doctor or pharmacist.

Indications:

CIPROFAR is used in the following cases:

Ciprofloxacin is only used on a farm or under the advice of a physician, in the treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to ciprofloxacin, including:

• In pneumococcal pneumonia (pneumonia) Cipromax is not the first choice, however the use of Cipromax may be indicated if the type of bacteria responsible (eg Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Proteus, Pseudomonas, Legionella, Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli).
• Middle ear (otitis media) and sinuses (sinusitis).
• Kidney and/or urinary tract outgoing.
• Reproductive organs, including inflammation of the ovaries, fallopian tubes (adnexitis), urethra (gonorrhea) and prostate (prostatitis).
• Abdominal cavity (such as gastrointestinal or bile duct infections), peritonitis.
• Skin and soft tissue.
• Bones and joints.
• Septicemia (sepsis).
