Here is a stone wannabee known as "motor agate" or Fordite. This man-made "stone" is from actual vintage layers of paint from car production in the 1950's (acrylic paints). This particular piece came from Ford's Rouge River Plant in Dearborn, Michigan. This is a prime piece of Fordite I have top drilled a 2.1 mm hole into the Fordite and fitted it with a stainless steel jump ring which is connected to and lays atop a vintage miniature Michigan license plate whose history is that of being mailed out in 1970 in hopes of a charitable donation. (see picture of its reverse side) The mini license measures 1 and 1/2 x 1/2 inch. The Fordite piece measures 1 inch x 1/4 inch. The unique vintage rare collectible pendant dangles from a pewter slide bail onto a 30 inch stainless steel ball chain complete with clam clasp.
