Powered by 3 AA batteries(NOT INCLUDED). Extension cord to the battery box measures 5 ft/1.5m long. This is especially helpful if you are hanging your lights high up on the wall and need to hide your battery box somewhere else.

On Timer Function The best part about timer function is that you only need to power those lights on once. When set to timer mode, lights will be up for 6 hours and then turn off for 18 hours. Lights will light up the next day at the exact same time when it was turned on the previous day. For instance, if you set the lights on timer at 5:00 PM, it will turn off at 11:00 PM that night. Without having to touch the power switch again, the lights will turn on at 5:00 PM and off at 11:00 PM automatically the next day and continue doing so until powered off manually or batteries run out.
