Sony introduced a new neckband style in-ear headphones that are packed with features. The new WI-1000X has smart noise canceling that detects wether the user is walking, traveling or just simply listening and automatically adjust the noise canceling mode according to the activity. In traveling mode, the headphones cancels all background noise, walking allows the background noise to be heard for safety purposes and waiting mode cancels all background noise except voice to let users hear important announcement. This noise canceling feature also has Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing to deliver optimal sound at high altitude. In addition, the earphones also has virtual surround sound, equalizer and sound position control to choose the direction a user wants the sound to come from just like a wireless speaker.
The earphones are composed of hybrid drivers, a 9mm dynamic driver to drive the bass and mids and a Balanced Armature driver to handle high frequencies. This two drivers work together to keep a steady sound response across frequencies. On top of it, the neckband also includes a vibration motor to help notify the user of incoming calls and others.
