The stepping motor also offers smoother AF movements, as well as speed boosts in both phase-detection AF and contrast-detection AF. Designed with 2 aspherical lens elements, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G offers impressive optical performance to capture sharp, spectacular images. The aspherical lens elements also effectively correct lens aberrations and distortions. At approximately 195g, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G measures a mere 64.5mm (diameter) by 62.5mm (length) when retracted. Its retractable lens mechanism lends itself to a highly portable body that is easy to carry everywhere. A new setting system allows autofocus/manual focus settings to be accessed directly from the camera’s menu for smooth and seamless shooting.
