After Muslims were exiled from Andalusia, the European countries sent travelers to the East in order to explore its economic, political, and social conditions. In addition, they sent them to know more about Islam. However, this is but a preparation for their colonialism. Those travelers, who most of them have graduated from priestly or military schools, have written books describing their journeys. These books are a mixture of reality and fiction where they portrayed people of the East as barbarous, sexually corrupted, ignorant and less civilized. Indeed, this book is written to refute these stories, and it concludes that the Western travel literature was based on Crusader, racist and colonial interests which meant to achieve their goals that are far away from developing these countries or achieving the interests of its people. p>
