The film that is used in the HE-1000 V2 is so thin, it is a diaphragm in nanometer thickness which is a breakthrough core technology developed by HIFIMAN and first of its kind in headphone application. The successful incorporation of this film as the HE1000’s planar driver is the cornerstone of its remarkable sound. The headphone features an Advanced Asymmetrical Magnetic Circuit that took 7 years of painstaking research with its groundbreaking design offers near perfect reproduction of live music. Its patented “Window Shade” system is created to meet the need for driver protection and optimized open-back design. The HE1000’s metal structure is created via CNC milling and hand polishing. To meet the crucial standard set out by HIFIMAN, the surface finishing is handled and refined by meticulous craftsmen.

The new HE1000 has undergone several styling and mechanical enhancements that substantially improve its appearance, durability and comfort. It now has an improved headband design that will accommodate a wider range of head sizes. The weight of the headphones are now reduced to 420g compared to the original 480g. The ear cup is also updated. It is now trimmed down to 11mm from 14mm for a slimmer, sleeker look. The ear pads have been specially re-designed to become thicker win an asymmetrical shape that follows the form of the ear cups. The HE1000 V2 is now supplied with a newly upgraded cable made with stronger, further improved materials custom designed for wide frequency range, low signal loss and enhanced emphasis on the low end for quality audio reproduction. The ear pad surface that makes contact with the head is also updated. The material had been changed from Velour to Polyester to increase sound transparency.
