Description

This 5mm LED Kit consists of round shaped 5mm diameter LEDs with the following colours:

• 5 x 5mm Red LEDs
• 5 x 5mm Green LEDs
• 5 x 5mm Blue LEDs
• 5 x 5mm Yellow LEDs
• 5 x 5mm White LEDs

You typically need around 20 mAmps to get the proper lighting of an LED, still, it can operate below 20 mAmp and looks dimmed or few milliAmps above 20 and looks super bright but this will reduce the LED life span.

Most of the LEDs operate in the 3v range accordingly you need to attach a current limiting resistance in series with the LED. Usually with 5 volts a resistor of 220 ohms is recommended (will give you around 22 mAmps current), and some people would go higher to extend the LED life span.
