* V-shaped structure of V.T. Sole for XXIO Forged irons reduces ball speed variability
Through intensive analysis on the golf swings of XXIO Forged Iron users, we have developed the “V.T. Sole for XXIO Forged” based on the “Tour V.T. Sole” which has been highly acclaimed for the Srixon Z-Series. In order to better suit the swing characteristics of XXIO Forged users who tend to be hitting down on the ball compared to XXIO users, the V-shaped sole with higher bounce angle makes it easier to get the club run through the turf. These irons promote consistent ball speed and distance, allowing users to attack right at the pin.
* High responsive face with enlarged thin area has improved the COR performance across the entire face.
By enlarging the thin area behind the club face at the toe and below the heel, the high repulsion area has been expanded by 5%. The hot performance across the face has improved for more consistent distance on mis-hits, thus making it easier to aim the greens strategically.
* Newly developed shaft processing technology and new materials have increased head speed
Increased head speed has been achieved through the technology that was used for XXIO9. Lag is increased by utilizing a heavier head and a lighter shaft with a higher balance point moving the CG closer to the grip. In addition, the steel shaft is equipped with newly developed multi-shape adjustment technology (MSA technology). A more lightweight shaft has been achieved by reducing the thickness of the step. And for the carbon shaft, a newly developed highly elastic, high-strength resin material called Xross-filTM (manufactured by Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd.) is utilized for the tip section. These improvements have enhanced the performance of distance and accuracy.
