Your Stand, Move and Exercise rings show you how active you are every day and inspire you to move a little more. See if you’ve been sitting too much. Track how many steps you’ve taken and how many calories you’ve burned. And aim for 30 minutes of exercise, even if it’s not all at once.
Measure your workouts.
Choose from a variety of indoor and outdoor workouts — including biking, running and elliptical — then set your goals and get moving. However you work out, Apple Watch Series 1 accurately measures your movement. Select up to five metrics to view at once and even mark segments.
Monitor your health.
Since Apple Watch Series 1 is always with you, it can help you be more aware of your overall health. It lets you easily monitor your heart rate, better manage everyday stress and add apps relevant to your specific routines. So you get a more complete picture of you.
Stay connected.
Get a gentle tap when a message or call comes in. Access and launch your favourite apps immediately. Use Siri to get things done with just your voice. With Apple Watch Series 1, you can get important information and do things quickly and conveniently right from your wrist — so you never have to put your day on pause.
- Messages: Be alerted with a tap, then raise your wrist to read the message. And respond in lots of fun, expressive ways.
- Phone: See who’s calling and answer on your watch, or cover it with your hand to dismiss. You can ask Siri to return the call later.
- Calendar: See invitations, know what’s up next and get alerts when it’s time to leave for events.
- Apple Pay: Just double-click the side button to securely pay in stores or within apps right from your watch.
- Reminders: Ask Siri to remind you of your to?dos. Tap Completed when you’re done with a task, or Snooze for a nudge later on.
- BBC News: Get breaking news, glanceable headlines and story summaries delivered straight to your wrist.
- Mail: When an email arrives, you can quickly see the sender and subject. Then tap to read it in full.
- Maps: Gentle taps let you know when it’s time to turn left or right, so you don’t need to look at your watch for the next step.
- Onefootball: Explore the world of soccer with live scores, highlights, news, player transfers and stats for all the teams you care about.
- Apple Watch Series 1 has a water resistance rating of IPX7 under IEC standard 60529. Apple Watch Series 1 is splash and water resistant, but submerging Apple Watch Series 1 is not recommended.
- Apple Watch Series 2 has a water resistance rating of 50 metres under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. However, Apple Watch Series 2 should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depth.
